ouch.

I've lived in Florida all my life

and have always spent

plenty of time outside

in the sun.

Because of this

I was never really one

to get sun burnt.

Strange swimsuit tan lines?

Definitely, but that's
another story entirely.

I have never had a really

bad sunburn before,

but after being away for a year

my thick skin has lost its

ability to ward off burn

and has subsequently become

bright red and painful 

after one day 

out on my brother's boat.

To all of you fair skinned people:

I feel your pain

and I'm sorry for

always showing off my perfectly 

tanned skin.

Oh and please pass the Aloe.
